Still Image Video

Final Still Image Video After many weeks of hard work using Adobe Premiere I can finally say my time has come to a close. Overall, my experience with Premiere was more difficult than I had hoped for. While Premier is actually a very cool software to use and play with, I wish it was easier to use for my project. My project is about how greek life has influenced different students on High Point Universities campus. I interviewed three different people to hear their personal stories and opinions. I hope you enjoy my video! https://youtu.be/ihydy_nubLE

Forum 5 While creating my newest additions to my audio story I was at first very confused and frustrated. Premier is something that I am still not very familiar with so I had no idea where to start to add the required additions to my audio story. But, after watching the provided videos for this weeks assignment I realized the tasks that I needed to complete weren't actually as difficult as I had originally thought! The components that I added to my audio story were an animated title, names/pictures for the people who were speaking on my audio, and fade ins of pictures. Personally, I thought it was very cool to see how just these simple things really brought my overall story together. Something that I plan to learn for the future is how to add animations! https://youtu.be/TKxsSC0BlNQ

The Animatic

Image
The Animatic In our Audio class we were just recently introduced to the Adobe Premier editing program. Premier is used for putting audio and pictures/videos together into a movie. I personally find premier confusing and  frustrating . The most difficult part is trying to make sure my pictures and videos fit into the space correctly and  aren't   blurry . After following the instruction given in class and  watching  the instructional videos  provide   I  was able to get my project put  together .  Before  I  start my final project  I  will  definitely need to master a few more skills. For example I will need to figure out the correct way to size images and make sure they are not blurry. Additionally I want to include actual photos of the individuals I interviewed and use pop ups. Lastly, I will need to learn how to incorporate special effects such as zooming in and out as well as different transitions betwee...

Audio Stroy

The topic of my audio story is "How has greek life influenced your college experience?". In my audio story I ask certain questions to individuals involved in greek life that pertain to their college experience. The expert I decided to interview is a senior who has been involved with greek life all four years of college. I chose her because she has the most experience. When putting my audio story together I decided to use the Radioarc. I began with a question and then I got my answers. The purpose of my audio story is to gain a better understanding on how greek life plays into ones college life. After getting all of my interviews, I discovered that greek life can have an extremely positive effect on ones college life. Working with Adobe Audition has been extremely challenging. I have never previously utilized or been introduced to software that is in anyway similar to it. But after spending many hours and re-doing my project multiple times I finally was able to get the han...

Forum 3: Audio Stroy Components

Audio Story   For my audio story I am asking HPU students how greek life had has a positive influence on their college experience. I am planning on asking students of different grade levels whom are involved in greek life to get my answer and here their stories!  I have thought a lot about who the best person to interview as my "expert" should be. So far, I have concluded the best people should be either a chapter president, an adult in charge of the greek life organization at HPU, or a psychology professor who can explain to me how greek life can better an individuals college experience. My first interview is of my friend Anna who is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta on campus. She is a freshman and explains her experience with greek life thus far.   Music  Overall, I want my music to provide a easy going and happy feel. For my music I plan to incorporate these in an introduction, for transitions, as well as for a closing. I plan to use different parts of e...

Short Audio Story

About Audition Every week we have been learning about features that are available in the adobe audition software. Audition is used to create and edit all different types of audio types. Features include mixing up audio, clipping audio, and adding sound effects. Audition is the photoshop of recording! What I Learned At first I was a little worrisome about using Audition because I am not familiar with any type of software. But after I watched the class tutorials I realized it is actually quite simple! The videos taught me how to use tools to edit my audio and even provided different and easier ways to edit. I love how the videos are always available to us because if I forget how to do something it's only a click away to find my answer. My Project For my audio story I decided to ask the question "How has greek life affected your college experienced?". I Interviewed my friend Anna to see what her response was! Four Kinds of Audio and Radiolab

The Four Kinds of Audio Up until now I have never realized the importance of podcasts and everything that actually goes into them. I have previously never even listened to many podcasts except for the ones that my dad would attempt to make me watch but would result in me leaving halfway through. In the article "10 Tips for Using Audio More Effectively in Multimedia Stories" I have learned that there are four types of audio. The four types as well as building blocks include interview clips, voice-overs, natural sound, and ambient sound. The podcast I chose to listen to on This American Life is titles "Hoaxing Yourself". The podcast mainly focused on voice-overs, layers, and varying the loudness of audio. Within the podcast many different interview were conducted as well as voice overs in order to push the storyline forward. This allowed the listener to remain interested. Layers such as music were also included when moving onto the next subject at hand, I found thi...
